Review History
Choose how far back the review queue reaches, and what happens to older transactions that are set aside.
Overview
Review history sets how far back the review queue reaches. It decides which transactions the review wizard asks you about, and nothing else. It isn't a log of past reviews.
Every transaction is still categorized automatically and counted in your budgets, reports and net worth, however old it is. The app puts it this way on the screen: "Older transactions are already categorized and already counted in your budgets, reports and net worth. Widening this window only asks you to confirm their categories. Nothing about your totals changes either way."
New accounts start at the last 3 months. That keeps a big first import, or years of bank history, from turning into a review queue with thousands of items. Older transactions that are still waiting for review are set aside. They stay in your transaction list and you can bring them back into the queue any time by widening the window.
How to change your review window
Open Settings
Tap Settings.
Tap Review history
You'll find Review history right under Transaction Review. Its subtitle shows your current window, such as "Reviewing the last 3 months", or how many older transactions are set aside.

Pick a window
Choose Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months or Everything. The change saves straight away.
Head back to review
The badge on the Transactions tab and the review cards update to match the new window.
You can also get here from the review wizard. When older transactions have been set aside, the wizard tells you how many and offers Review older transactions, which opens this screen.
Windows and your plan
The review window can't reach further back than your plan's transaction history. Windows your plan doesn't cover show a padlock and a note like "Your plan keeps 12 months of history". Tapping a locked window opens Subscription.
| Plan | Windows you can pick |
|---|---|
| Free | Last 3 months, Last 6 months |
| Starter | Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months |
| Pro | Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 12 months |
| Premium | All four, including Everything |
Everything needs a plan with unlimited history, which is Premium. If you upgrade, the wider windows unlock on this screen right away, with no restart.
What the window changes
- The review badge: the number on the Transactions tab counts only transactions inside your window. Set-aside transactions are never added to it, so the badge always reflects work you can actually clear.
- Set-aside count: when older transactions are waiting outside your window, the screen shows a line like "42 older transactions are set aside." The Review history tile in Settings shows the same number.
- Mark all reviewed: this button in the wizard only confirms transactions inside your window. Set-aside transactions are left waiting, so one tap never confirms years of history you haven't seen.
- Widening the window: set-aside transactions inside the new window move back into the queue and the badge goes up to include them.
- Narrowing the window: nothing gets marked as reviewed. Waiting transactions older than the new window are set aside again and keep waiting until you widen it.
Your window is saved to your account, so it applies on every device you sign in on.
Tips
Frequently Asked Questions
Are set-aside transactions hidden or deleted?
No. They're in your transaction list, your budgets, your reports and your net worth, exactly like every other transaction. The only difference is that the review wizard doesn't ask about them.
Why can't I pick Everything?
Everything needs unlimited history, which comes with Premium. On other plans the window stops at the history your plan keeps, so the longer options show a padlock.
Can I still change the category of an older transaction?
Yes. Open any transaction from your list and change its category whenever you like. The review window only controls what the wizard asks about.
Does changing the window change my totals?
No. Totals never depend on review. Widening or narrowing the window only changes which transactions wait in the queue.
What does the 99+ on the badge mean?
The Transactions badge shows up to 99. Above that it shows 99+. Narrowing your window is one way to bring it down to something you can finish in one sitting.
